Vince Cable “I could quit and bring down government"?

So the daily telegraph are tonight reporting that Vince Cable has said, which he says he regrets (but does he?) that he could resign and bring down the government. Recent polls have shown that if a general election was held today Labour would win. How would you feel if this happened next year? Is the coalition going to survive till Xmas next year?
