To emigrate or not to emigrate???

I am in two minds as whether to leave the UK or go to either Dubai or Canada for settlement. I have two university degrees and a soon to be growing family, and find myself struggling financially here in the UK. I find that jobs are pretty hard to come by here. Its all call centres here in Scotland. So I am struggling to come up with reasons that would justify staying here. I lost my father last year so I really have no family connections other than my sister and mum. Having said that, if I move, will I be better off financially?
