Daughter's best friends in a coma or vacation back east?

My daughter's best friend went into a coma Sunday night and we have been visiting every day. We had planned to to leave this Friday for a 1 week family vacation followed by a family reunion for another week all happening back east. I know my daughter wants to stay and be here for her friend and her friends family. I can't fault my daughter's loyalty to her friend. So what would you do? BTW, my daughter is only eleven so she can not stay here by herself.
