A book that is comparable (but different) to 1984 by Orwell?

Try Little Brother by Cory Doctorow. I've always thought it would be a pretty good companion read for 1984. The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins has similarities as well. These books share themes with 1984 but are also different from the book.
